Matthews Correlation Coefficient (MCC)

I am using version Version 2.18, MacOS 14.6.1

When I select Search options like this:

Search metric: Matthews Correlation Coefficient (MCC)
Train/test split: 60/40
Test sample: Chosen randomly

and start the search, the program crashes right away.
It works fine when using through python library.

Hello @tim,

I could not reproduce this error on macOS with the default dataset.

1) Does it happen with the default dataset for you, or only with a specific dataset?
2) If the latter, could you email us that dataset for debugging?

Now that you've mentioned the default dataset, I tried it with MCC and it is the same issue.
I am yet to try the latest version of TB, but in v 2.18 that is the behaviour on my machine.

To reproduce this, one can open Turing Bot on MacOS, select 'Matthews correlation' as a search metric and run it.
The program crashes right away. Other metrics work fine in this regard.

Thanks for the additional test. Another question, are you using TuringBot on an Intel-based Mac (AMD64) or an Apple Silicon Mac (ARM64)?

I am using Intel-bases Mac.

Processor: 2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9
Memory: 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
macOS: 14.6.1 (23G93)

I believe this crash might be the same one mentioned in this other thread and should have been fixed in version 2.21. Please let me know if it still occurs.
